How I use New Comm Tech

I use New communication technologies in many ways to communicate with my friends and family. I have been using several different types of technologies for roughly six years, with my first form being text messaging and phone calls, then joining Facebook, and Myspace. Eventually, as everyone knows, Myspace died out and I probably haven't been on Myspace for 4-5 years, mainly using Facebook. I also use Skype to keep in touch with friends in Melbourne and girls that I went to boarding school with.

I first joined Facebook to see the photos that our head dorm mistress posted from boarding outings, and now use it as one of my main forms of contact with my friends.

Privacy has only once been an issue when I hadn't yet learnt how to properly control my privacy settings and was in the 'the more friends the better' stage. Now I have weeded out all the creepy people from my friends list and only post things that I know wouldn't make my mum lose it, because that to me is a pretty good guideline.
